Artists is the first book by UK photographer Brynley Odu Davies, showcasing a selection of his studio portraits taken between 2020 and 2023. The project began during the Covid-19 pandemic, when Brynley, transitioning from music photography, began photographing local artists he met while walking in South London.

Shot with minimal editing and in natural light, Brynley’s portraits capture the essence of his subjects, offering an authentic and intimate glimpse into the artists' creative worlds. The work spans the UK, creating a diverse record of the emerging art scene beyond major art hubs.

The project has not only produced a stunning body of work but also forged lasting relationships with many of the artists, capturing both their talent and warmth. Artists celebrates the spirit of creativity and the community shaping the UK’s art landscape.

Launched alongside an exhibition at Guts Gallery, the book stands as a reference for artists, collectors, and enthusiasts alike.
